Dr. Germán González
Dr. González received an engineering degree from UPM (Madrid, Spain) in 2006, a MSc. degree in computer science from KTH (Stockholm, Sweden) also in 2006 and a PhD. in biomedical image processing in 2011 from EPFL (Lausanne, Switzerland). Germán has done post-doctoral training in biomedical imaging and entrepreneurship through the Madrid-MIT M+Visión consortium (Boston, USA), and is currently a post-doctoral researcher at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Germán has more than 20 peer-reviewed publications and four patents spanning the fields of machine learning and image analysis. During his career he has received several awards, such as the best Swedish Master Thesis award in Artificial Intelligence in 2006, the Diadem Challenge award for his work in 3-D biomedical images in 2010 and the 1st place in Venture Labs by Instituto Empresa (Madrid, Spain) in 2012.
